Englsih … Die Citizens! aus London haben allen Grund die Mundwinkel bis zum Anschlag nach oben zu ziehen. Ein hochdotierter Plattenvertrag mit dem renommierten Pariser Label Kitsune, Kritikerlob von allen Seiten und eine ständig wachsende Fanschar rund um den Globus sprechen eine eindeutige Sprache. Doch der Erfolg kommt nicht von ungefähr.  Ein Rufzeichen am Ende des Bandnamens macht klar: „Wir meinen es ernst,  halbe Sache sind nichts für uns“. Und diese Hingabe  spürt man auch im Sound der Band. Große Melodien,  unwiderstehlicher Groove und ein unverwechselbarer Sound wissen zu begeistern. Zu hören auf „True Romance“ dem neuesten Output des Quintetts, dem niemand geringer als Alex Kapranos, seines Zeichens Frontman der Indie-Legende Franz Ferdinand, den letzten Feinschliff verpasste.
